Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of various leadership styles of school principals transformational, charismatic, and transactional in improving teacher performance in Islamic educational institutions. This study uses a literature review method by examining various empirical research results, books, and scientific articles relevant to the subject over the past ten years. The results of the analysis show that transformational leadership has the most dominant influence on increasing teacher motivation, commitment, and performance because it emphasizes vision, inspiration, and professional development. Charismatic leadership contributes through personal influence and moral exemplary behavior that strengthens the Islamic work culture, while transactional leadership plays a role in establishing a system of rewards and discipline for teachers. These three leadership styles complement each other in creating a productive, spiritually valuable, and quality-oriented learning environment. These findings emphasize the importance of adaptive and Islamic leadership competencies for school principals in managing and improving teacher performance in Islamic educational institutions.
