Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Hadith through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Masturiyah. The background of this research is based on students’ low understanding of Hadith material and their lack of active participation during the learning process. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of two cycles, each including the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were eighth-grade students of MTs Al-Masturiyah in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the PBL approach can enhance students' learning outcomes. This is evident from the increase in students’ average scores from the pre-action stage to the first and second cycles, as well as the improvement in students’ active participation during the learning process. Therefore, the Problem-Based Learning approach is effective as an alternative method to improve Hadith learning outcomes at MTs Al-Masturiyah.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran Hadis melalui penerapan pendekatan Problem-Based Learning (PBL) di Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Masturiyah. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Hadis dan kurangnya partisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Al-Masturiyah tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan PBL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa dari pra tindakan ke siklus I dan siklus II, serta meningkatnya partisipasi aktif siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, pendekatan Problem-Based Learning efektif digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Hadis di MTs Al-Masturiyah.
